Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, September 2026 — Tata Housing Development Company Limited has announced the appointment of Gaurav Jain as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Tata Realty and Infrastructure Limited (TRIL) and Tata Housing Development Company Limited, effective October 1, 2026. Jain brings more than two decades of experience spanning real estate, strategy, operations, sales, marketing, business development, P&L management and enterprise leadership.

Jain joins the Tata companies after more than a decade with Birla Estates, where he has most recently served as Deputy CEO. He joined Birla Estates in 2016 as a founding member and spent more than seven years as Chief Operating Officer and National P&L Head, leading the residential and commercial portfolio, P&L management and business development across Mumbai, NCR, Bengaluru and Pune. His tenure placed him at the center of the company’s growth as a real estate venture of the Aditya Birla Group.

Before Birla Estates, Jain served as Business Head – North at Godrej Properties, where he led the P&L for nine residential and commercial projects representing more than eight million square feet of saleable area. His responsibilities extended across the full business value chain, including sales and marketing, CRM, strategy, business development, design, approvals and operations.

Jain had previously spent five years with Godrej Properties, progressing to Deputy Business Head – Mumbai Portfolio after serving as National Sales Head. He led sales and marketing across multiple Indian markets and subsequently managed the Mumbai portfolio across P&L, strategy, operations, planning, sales and marketing. Between his two tenures at Godrej Properties, he served as Vice President and National Sales Head at Mahindra Lifespace Developers, where he led pan-India sales and helped restructure the company’s sales organization across channels, corporate, direct and international markets.

Earlier in his career, Jain worked with Unitech Group in business development, where his responsibilities included deal sourcing, financial, technical and legal feasibility, and project management. He previously served as Manager – Marketing at Godrej Aadhaar, a joint venture between Godrej and Future Group, leading sales and marketing across more than 70 outlets. He began his professional journey with Punjab State Milk Federation (Verka) as Deputy Manager – Operations, where he managed the P&L of its condensing and drying unit and worked on international expansion initiatives.

Jain completed the Senior Executive Leadership Program in General Management at Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2024 and holds a PGDBM from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, completed between 2004 and 2006. His combination of real estate P&L leadership, business development, operations, sales and marketing experience provides a broad foundation for his new mandate across Tata Realty and Tata Housing.
