Travel and Airport Updates
Travelers are urged to plan ahead when flying out of Don Mueang or Suvarnabhumi. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) advises checking flight statuses via official airline channels, as weather disruptions may cause delays.
At Don Mueang International Airport, water has accumulated to a depth of approximately 10 centimeters near the main entrances and exits, specifically in lanes 3, 5, 6, and 7. To accommodate this, passengers should allow two to three hours for transit. Airports of Thailand (AOT) suggests utilizing the tollway for direct access or taking the Red Line rail service to Don Mueang Station and using the Skywalk to reach the terminal.
While Suvarnabhumi Airport continues to process flights, the Lat Krabang route is currently impassable due to high floodwaters. AOT advises travelers to use the Motorway (Highway No. 7) or the Burapha Withi Expressway instead. It is key to verify route conditions before departure.

Vietjet Thailand is offering similar flexibility for trips to or from Suvarnabhumi Airport between 26 and 30 September 2026. Passengers can modify their itinerary once for free or receive a Credit Shell valid for 180 days.
Nok Air is providing options for passengers traveling to or from Don Mueang Airport between 26 and 28 September. Eligible flyers may reschedule within 30 days without fees, or obtain a credit voucher covering 100% of the fare, valid for 30 days.
Thai Airways has extended assistance to holders of tickets on stock 217 for Bangkok flights. For travel between 26 September and 11 October, passengers can reschedule once without penalties, provided they keep the same routing and class. Changes must be made by 11 October, though one-way tickets issued after that date remain subject to standard terms.
Government and Business Operations
While essential services remain, private entities must decide on their own holiday schedules. State-owned enterprises, banks, and private firms are encouraged to evaluate their legal obligations and operational needs before deciding whether to close for the two days.

Residents can report standing water using the Traffy Fondue app or by calling the 24-hour BMA hotline at 1555. The Singapore Embassy confirmed that Suvarnabhumi Airport, the Motorway, and the Burapha Withi Expressway were functioning at the time of the warning. It emphasized the importance of allowing ample travel time and monitoring flight statuses.
