The HR Summit & Expo 2024 opens Sunday, offering five days of workshops, discussions and exhibitions across six themes: Future of Work, Artificial Intelligence, Rewards and Compensation, Talent Acquisition and Retention, and Culture, Diversity, Equality, Inclusivity and Belonging.
Keynotes by Daniel Pink and Herminia Ibarra to anchor summit
Certified workshops target HR professionals seeking practical skills and credentials. The highlighted Situational Leadership© Essentials sessions will be led by global experts Darren Carrington and Jon Fletcher, teaching agile responses to changing work conditions.
“This year’s HR Summit & Expo (HRSE) is designed to offer strategic and practical help to customers working through the rapidly changing HR environment,” said Shabnam Rawal, Managing Director of Informa Connect. She added that the summit will look into transformative trends shaping the industry, including AI tools to enhance decision-making, personalised talent attraction strategies, and a focus on business resilience.
The AI in the Workplace Summit on October 22 will feature speakers Dr. Gopal Kutwaroo and Lt. Colonel Dr. Hamad Khalifa Al Nuaimi, who will examine how artificial intelligence reshapes productivity, decision-making and talent management.
The conference and exhibition run October 23-24, comprising more than 100 sessions.

The opening keynote will be delivered by Daniel Pink, a New York Times bestselling author, focusing on motivation, leadership and the evolving role of HR professionals.
Following Pink, Herminia Ibarra, Charles Handy Professor of Organisational Behaviour at London Business School, will present “Act Like a Leader, Think Like a Leader,” sharing research-driven strategies for transformational leadership.
Additional speakers include Kirsty Koen, Group Chief HR Officer at IDS Borjomi International; Rodrigo Gil, Head of Talent Acquisition at Al Futtaim Automotive; and Aysha Sulaiman, Director of HR and Development at RAKEZ. Their talks will address leadership change, talent acquisition and organisational resilience.
The Future Workplace Awards, scheduled for October 23, will recognise organisations that have pioneered HR innovation throughout the Middle East.
Overall, the event promises a concentrated platform for HR professionals to gain credentials, hear from leading thinkers and benchmark against peers across the region.
